Restrictions

There are several restrictions on the naming of Bahamian IBC's. A Bahamas Company must contain one of the following suffixes:

• Limited
• Limited Liability Company
• Corporation
• Incorporated
• Societe Anonyme
• Sociedad Anonima
• Gesellschaft mit beschrankter Haftungor (or GmbH)
• Ltd.
• LLC
• Corp
• Inc.
• S.A.

Additionally, Bahamas IBC names must not contain any of the following words:

• Assurance
• Bank
• Building Society
• Chamber of Commerce
• Chartered
• Cooperative
• Imperial
• Insurance
• Municipal
• Royal
• Trust

or any words conveying a similar meaning.
